Library faculty and staff are happy that you are a member of the WSU Vancouver community! We are here to help you in any way that we can. We care about your journey with us and about your safety and the safety of our employees.
Masks and Visiting the Library Building: Masks or facial coverings are not required with proof of vaccination. If you are wearing a facial covering, come on in the Library. If you are not wearing a facial covering, be prepared to put one on or show proof of vaccination. Have questions? Check out Facial Coverings and Vaccination (pdf) for more information. Attestations are required by all before entering.
Get Help: The Library staff are available remotely 6 days/week (Sun, Noon-6; Mon-Thurs, 9a-8p; Fri 9a-6p). Students/faculty/staff may call, email, chat or Zoom with a Library employee or can request a one-to-one virtual meeting with a librarian for more in-depth assistance. See below for information about limited building hours.
Library Resources: SearchIT, Databases, ILLiad, are available on the Library's website (library.vancouver.wsu.edu) with access to full-text electronic resources available immediately. Books and media may be requested through SearchIT or ILLiad,(Interlibrary Loan) and will be mailed to current mailing addresses.
Instruction: Library faculty will continue to provide library instruction to classes in a variety of modes (synchronous, asynchronous, subject guides, etc). Faculty should contact their liaison librarian to make arrangements.
Building Hours: The Library is open to WSU students/faculty/staff for limited hours. Please note: Due to safety guidelines, the Library is only open to WSU students/faculty/staff or students of other educational institutions who normally take classes on the WSU Vancouver campus. Other members of the community who have questions are encouraged to chat with a librarian through the Library's Website.
Laptops may be picked up in the Library by WSUV students. Laptops can not be reserved but students are encouraged to call ahead of time to determine availability.
Course Reserves are available through courses offered in Blackboard or Canvas. Faculty should contact Mark Hasse (email@example.com) to arrange for electronic course reserves.
