Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Services
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service to request materials not found in WSU or Summit libraries from other national and international libraries. This service is available for currently registered WSU Vancouver students, and current faculty and staff. If you are not currently affiliated with WSU Vancouver, use your local public library for interlibrary loan requests.
WSU Vancouver Library will generally pay for the cost of providing materials from other libraries. If there is a question of additional fees, we will contact you before submitting a request.
Options for requesting materials
Interlibrary loan is one option for requesting materials from other libraries. To save you time, you might also want to check Griffin, the WSU catalog and Summit, a joint catalog. Both of these catalogs provide options for requesting items.
To place an interlibrary loan or document delivery request:
- Login to your ILLiad account.
- Or, click on the Find @ WSU button within any of our library databases.
- If you do not yet have an ILLiad account, be sure to register for an account.
Most articles arrive within 1-3 days and are delivered to you electronically. Books and other materials arrive within 3-7 days and can be picked up at the Circulation Desk. You will be notified via email when your items arrive.
Faculty / Staff Article Delivery Service
As an additional service for faculty and staff, we will electronically deliver copies of articles, and book chapters that are located within our Library collection. Simply login to ILLiad and place a request.
ILL Office Hours
The ILL Office is open Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm.
